National Archery in the Schools Program - Wrangell, Alaska
In 2009, Mrs. Miller worked with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game to secure grant funding of a set of NASP (National Archery in the Schools) approved archery equipment for Evergreen Elementary School. She was also able to get training for nine teacher/community members to become certified instructors. Mrs. Miller instructs archery to students at Evergreen Elementary School (2010-current), Stikine Middle School (2013-current), and Wrangell High School (2014-current). To date, we've had students from the MS/HS compete at the State level. In 2014, one middle school student qualified and attended NASP Nationals in Kentucky. In 2015, two middle school and two high school students attended. Mrs. Miller attended Nationals as a coach in 2015. Very exciting!
